Jonathan Alford, MD
Dr. Jonathan Alford is a board certified cosmetic surgeon and one of the only physicians in the Midwest to be dual-trained in both cosmetic surgery and obstetrics & gynecology. His surgical practice is dedicated exclusively to the art of cosmetic surgery and select non-surgical aesthetic procedures. Dr. Alford feels that it is a privilege to be a physician and surgeon, and he is honored that patients place their faith and trust in him when having cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Alford has exceptional educational experience and unique surgical training. Dr. Alford attended Louisiana State University in his hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He earned his degree in biochemistry and developed a deep appreciation for research. He then completed a dual degree program at St. George’s University earning both a Master’s Degree in Public Health and his Doctorate of Medicine. Dr. Alford then completed his residency training at Beaumont Hospital in Southeast Michigan. Throughout his residency Dr. Alford served on numerous departmental and hospital administrative committees as a resident representative. In his final year of residency, he served as Chief Resident.
Following his residency training, Dr. Alford completed a highly sought-after American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery accredited fellowship in Indianapolis. There he trained with Dr. Robert Jackson and Dr. Chris Lowery, both past presidents of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and diplomates of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. During this fellowship, Dr. Alford completed over 1,000 cosmetic surgeries. Following his surgical training, Dr. Alford passed the written and oral board exams for the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery.
Dr. Alford specializes in cosmetic breast and body contouring surgery as well as cosmetic gynecology. He’s had extensive training with VASER high definition liposuction, as well as Renuvion minimally invasive skin tightening. Throughout his years of training Dr. Alford has worked with thousands of patients. Over time he’s realized that his favorite and most rewarding procedure is the mommy makeover. Following the changes that can occur with pregnancy and breast-feeding, many women are eager to return to their pre-pregnancy body and confidence. Dr. Alford enjoys working with moms to help them look and feel as confident and comfortable with their bodies as they did before having children.
Dr. Alford appreciates the importance of being a life-long learner and takes every opportunity available to both teach and learn. As such, Dr. Alford has attended regional and national conferences in both of his specialties for the last 5 years. He also actively participated in research projects, developing many of his own, throughout residency and fellowship training. He is an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the American College of Surgeons, and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Alford splits his time between Chicago and Detroit. He enjoys spending time with his eight year old twins, reading, discovering new restaurants, traveling with his family, spending time outdoors, and cooking at home with friends and family.
Madison Lake-Wickham, RN, BSN
Cosmetic Surgery RN and Aesthetic Nurse Injector
Madison Lake-Wickham is an RN and aesthetic nurse. She attended Ferris State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is currently in her final semester at Chamberlain University where she is working towards a masters degree to be a nurse practitioner. Prior to working in aesthetic medicine and cosmetic surgery, Madison worked in trauma and burn critical care units as both an RN and a respiratory therapist.
Madison has had extensive training in the field of cosmetic surgery and aesthetic medicine. She attends and hosts advanced training sessions multiple times a year. In the last year she’s attended training sessions on the O-Shot®, laser vaginal rejuvenation, and womens sexual health. In addition to her aesthetic medicine training, Madison also participates in local and national meetings and conferences in aesthetic medicine and cosmetic surgery.
Madison works alongside Dr. Alford and evaluates patients during their cosmetic surgery consultations. She also assists Dr. Alford in surgery and during pre-op and post-op appointments. Madison also sees patients at her Detroit office where she offers a wide range of aesthetic treatments including dermal fillers and neurotoxin injections.
Outside of work Madison enjoys spending time with friends, traveling, going to concerts, doing Pilates, and playing golf.
